Do players need an account or an app?
No. They scan the QR code on the screen, pick a nickname and an avatar in their browser, and that is it. No email address is asked for. Only the host has an account, because someone has to be able to find their games again.
Which screens does the display work on?
Anything that can open a web page: a smart TV, a set-top box, a streaming stick with a browser, or a laptop on HDMI into a projector. The display is deliberately lightweight so it runs on old television sets.
Do I have to pay to use Scorofun?
No. The free plan allows two live games at once, an unlimited number of participants, and every scoring feature. The only visible difference is a discreet Scorofun strip at the bottom of the display.
What if the Wi-Fi drops mid-game?
You keep counting. Points are held on your phone and sent automatically when the connection returns, with no duplicates. The screen keeps the last standings it received and shows a reconnecting note rather than an error.
Does Scorofun provide quiz questions or music?
No. Scorofun counts points and runs teams, the timer, the draw and the screen. The content of your evening stays yours — that is a decision, not an omission.
Is there a mobile app?
Yes, for hosts and for players who want to follow their own rank. It is never required: the whole journey works in a browser, and the call to action on this site deliberately points at the web version.
