Two tools that show scores online, built for two different rooms. Here is what actually separates them, including where the answer does not favour us.

What KeepTheScore does better
- Maturity. Years in production, a very large number of games run, edge cases handled, documentation in place. Scorofun has just launched and will not pretend otherwise.
- A richer web table. Their desktop editor offers more than our scoring screen: custom columns, formatting, display variants. If your need is a detailed table read on a computer, that is a genuine advantage.
- An English-speaking ecosystem. They own the English queries and have a user community behind them. We are starting from French.

Why the event pass exists
Most people looking for an online scoreboard have one event to run: a birthday, a club tournament, an offsite. Asking them to take out a monthly subscription for a single evening — and then to remember to cancel it — is a poor trade, and it is the most common complaint about tools in this category.
Hence a €6.99 pass: one payment, 48 hours, nothing renewing. The clock starts at your first game rather than at checkout, so you can prepare the night before. If you host weekly, the €7.99 monthly plan is cheaper, and we are not trying to sell you twelve passes a year.

Frequently asked questions
Is KeepTheScore a bad product?
No, and pretending otherwise would be dishonest. It is mature, stable, well documented and has been doing the job on the web for years. If you score from a laptop and your audience is English-speaking, there is no objective reason to switch.
What is the actual difference?
The starting point. KeepTheScore grew out of a web table you fill in from a computer. Scorofun grew out of a stage: a host standing up with a phone in one hand and a screen the room is watching. Every other difference follows from that.
Can I import my games from KeepTheScore?
No, there is no import. Games are short-lived events: in practice you recreate your teams once and the matter is closed. We would rather say so than promise a bridge we have not written.
Is Scorofun cheaper?
It depends on how often you host, which is the point. Three nights a year and a €6.99 event pass obviously beats a monthly subscription. Every week, and you should compare subscriptions line by line — ours is €7.99 a month, both figures checked in August 2026.
Where is the data hosted?
In France, backups included and encrypted. For a school, a public body or a company with a data policy, that question comes up before the first use, and a short answer saves everyone time.
